Social Justice Cmte Presents: Building the Wall
A staged reading of the play, “Building the Wall” by Robert Schenkkan, Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award- winning playwright, featuring “The Justice Players” is being presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, New York and sponsored by the Social Justice Committee. The play is a futuristic look at our immigration policies and will be held in the SFUU Sanctuary on Friday, October 5th at 7pm and Saturday, October 6th at 2pm and 7pm. Doors open at 1:30pm and 6:30pm.

The play is set in 2019, when martial law has been declared after a terror attack and the federal government has rounded up thousands of immigrants and sent them to deportation camps.

Net proceeds will benefit the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation to provide legal services to immigrant families in detention centers. Suggested donation at the door $10-$15/person. Parental discretion is advised for children below the age of 16 due to language and content. Childcare ($10/family) provided on Saturday, October 6th, 7pm performance only.
